Brett Hogan

Executive Director

Brett Hogan is the Executive Director for Positive Directions Inc. As a native of Wichita, Brett obtained his degree in education at Wichita State University. He then taught elementary education for several years. Brett has spent most of his lifetime serving the community of Wichita through social services and case management. Prior to becoming the Executive Director, he served as the Prevention Coordinator at Positive Directions and eventually helped restructure Positive Directions into the growing and thriving nonprofit it is today. In his free time, you can find him climbing at the gym, spending time with his wife or hanging out on the couch with his favorite cats. 

Jennifer Gonzalez

Early Intervention

Specialist

Jennifer is the Early Intervention Specialist for Positive Directions. She is a native of Derby and is a mom of three super amazing kids. Jennifer has spent the last 10 years working in the mental health field and is currently attending WSU to complete her Nursing degree. She has experience working at a children's psychiatric hospital, Spine and Specialty Hospital and various nursing facilities throughout Kansas. In her free time, Jennifer loves to spend time with family, travel, host game nights, and try out all the delicious local food spots.

Katie Maher

Early Intervention Coordinator

Katie is the Early Intervention Coordinator at Positive Directions. In the past, she has worked at a lot of different coffee shops around town, so her face might look familiar to you! She has also worked for the Red Cross before coming to Positive Directions. Katie is a highly curious individual that loves learning new things. In her free time, she loves eating sushi, taking photos, and hanging out with her cat named Mouse!

Chantel Minter

Prevention Intern

Chantel is the current Intern at Positive Directions. She was born and raised here in Wichita, KS, and is currently a Senior at Wichita State University. She is completing a Bachelor's degree in Health Science and Health Management with a concentration in Public Health. In her free time, she enjoys playing and coaching volleyball, baking, reading books, spending time with her friends and family, and watching TV.
