Watch for our next Dining For Friends Event

Monday, September 22, 2014

We're excited to offer our fall Dining for Friends at the new Fork & Fennel restaurant opening in College Hill. Attendees will be getting a sneak peak at Schane's new farm-to-table concept, as well as enjoy an intimate and specially prepared meal and beer flight. Menu for the night includes:

Amuse Bouche (assorted a...ppetizers)

Brewery Ommegang & Oyster Flight (4 beers paired with 4 different types of oysters)

Samplings of all three main plates:
-Heritage Red Wattle porkloin with lemon-thyme butter and roasted apple mash
-Colorado Striped Bass with Buerre Blanc and grilled scallions
-Creekstone Rib Eye with bone marrow butter and braised Yukon potatoes

Everything will then be topped off with a dessert of mini Affogato (cold toddy espresso poured on vanilla bean gelato, and crowned with crisp honeycomb)

Space will be limited, and this event WILL sell out. Ticket price is $65 per individual. Proceeds go to benefit Positive Directions, Inc., and help provide direct services for individuals and families in our community.

Please call Martin at 263.2214 x105 to reserve and pay for space. This invite is purely information... YOU MUST CALL TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT.

Dining For Friends

Where’s the best place for dinner? Your house!

Dining for Friends with Friends is a fundraiser for our nutrition programs. In 2010 alone we served 227 clients via our Daily Bread and Grocery Center programs. We invite you to join celebrated hosts from the Wichita area who will be having dinner parties for their friends, using their own guest lists, to raise awareness and money for services for people living with HIV/AIDS in the Wichita area.

Can a dinner party with your friends really make a difference? Host a party and you’ll see. Each Dining for Friends Host will have a dinner party (for 8 to 80). Your friends, your food. Hot dogs or haute cuisine, black tie or blue jeans, fried chicken or chicken cordon blue. In exchange for your hospitality each guest will bring a donation for Positive Directions. After dinner, dessert is on us! That’s right; Positive Directions will provide the delicious desserts for your guest!

Anyone can be a host. Don’t want to do it all yourself, enlist a co-host. Co-hosting can be just as fun. Diversity is the key. We can supply the invitations and printed host materials. You supply the friends. Dining for Friends with Friends brings all kinds of people together in a rare and remarkable way.

Please be a part of this beautiful show of support. Plan to Dine With Friends. Call 263-2214 to register as a dinner host. It’s as simple as that! And what a difference you can make. We look forward to hearing from you soon and remember, “There’s always a place at the table”!
